City & County Officials,

For 8 years, the City of Woodland and Yolo County have refused to hold police accountable for the brutal killing of Michael Barrera—a clear human rights violation.

Michael was tased, beaten, and suffocated while crying out, “I CAN’T BREATHE.” Instead of helping him, officers mocked him as he died and then laughed about it on record. A federal lawsuit stripped them of qualified immunity, yet they continue to walk free, and taxpayers are still funding their defense.

Officer Parveen Lal, who initiated the attack and used excessive force, is STILL EMPLOYED by Woodland PD. He must be fired immediately.
🚨 Officer Richard Wright now works for the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department.
🚨 Officer Hannah Gray is employed by Elk Grove PD.
🚨 Sergeant Thomas Davis & Officer David Krause retired with full pensions.
