    Since the year 2000, there have been over 30,000 documented cases of people who were killed by the police and during police interactions in the United States.

    The media often misreports officer-involved deaths, and in many cases, the narrative is completely false. The perpetuation of a false narrative and silencing the voices of the victim's loved ones helps allow the police to escape accountability by avoiding a historical record of the facts.
